2016 Frankfort Youth Tour
Pennyrile Electric Sends Students to Tour State Capitol
Eleven local high school juniors joined other students from across Kentucky and visited the commonwealth's capitol as part of the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperative's Frankfort Youth Tour on April 27th.
The program brings together students selected from their local electric cooperatives to tour Frankfort and learn about state government.
The students who represented Pennyrile Electric are pictured: (back row, left to right) Christopher Wells, Todd County Central High School; Harrison Grogan, Heritage Christian Academy; Coleman White, Logan County High School; Garrett Gee, University Heights Academy. During the day-long program the students toured the state capitol building, the Governor’s mansion and the Kentucky Vietnam Memorial. Students met with The Honorable Alison Lundergan Grimes, Secretary of State, in the Capitol Annex building. They also heard a presentation and the Honorable Brian Linder, Representative, Kentucky House of Representatives.
