Pennyrile Electric Takes Students to Tour State Capitol

 

Eleven local high school juniors joined other students from across Kentucky and visited the commonwealth’s capitol as part of the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperative’s Frankfort Youth Tour on March 27th.

The program brings together students selected from their local electric cooperatives to tour Frankfort and learn about state government.

During the day-long program the students toured the state capitol building, the Governor’s mansion, and the Kentucky History Museum.  Students met with House Majority Floor Leader, Jonathan Shell, in the Capitol Annex building.  They also heard a presentation by the Secretary of Labor, Derrick Ramsey.
