New officers were elected at the July 2017 Board of Directors meeting at Pennyrile Electric. The following officers were elected to their positions for a three (3) year term:
James L. Futrell
James L. Futrell has been elected to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Futrell has served on the Board, representing the Cumberland District, since August, 2011. Mr. Futrell owns and operates Elite Rock and Dirt Services, LLC, and resides in Cadiz with his wife, Wendy.
Bates Payne, Jr. has been elected to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Payne has served on the Board, representing the Western District, since April, 1995. Mr. Payne owns and operates Payne Farms, and resides in Pembroke with his wife, Brenda
Dr. George D. Brown was re-elected as Secretary-Treasurer for the Board of Directors. Dr. Brown has served on the Board, representing the Central district, since September 1987. Dr. Brown and his wife, Betty, reside in Elkton, where he is a retired veterinarian.
Joe. E. Rogers was also re-elected as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer for the Board of Directors. Mr. Rogers has served on the board, representing the Cumberland district, since August, 1976. Mr. Rogers and his wife, Patricia, reside in Trigg County, where they own and operate Little Pines Farm.
Pennyrile Electric’s Board of Directors continue to provide strong leadership, making the cooperative one of the most respected in the State of Kentucky.
